We’ve had numerous reasons to celebrate in 2009, beginning the year with a long awaited litter of puppies.

It’s been a year of great change with Ron retiring in the fall, from his responsibilities overseeing 7 radio stations. He is enjoying a much different pace of life and has added fresh air and exercise to his daily regimen. That’s cause for celebration !

Our Persi sired his second litter, out of Cindy Harvey’s girl Diana, Ch. Dilquin’s Unbridled Princess SJA Pet Therapy Dog.

The puppies are stunning and a credit to their parents and grandparents. We’ll certainly enjoy watching them grow up.

We ‘ve been enjoying raising , socializing, loving and finding good homes for a litter of orphaned kittens.

We’re so pleased that Sachi, Levi and Envy’s daughter, Ch. Coronado Espree Blue Skies AHA , SJA Pet Therapy Dog, has been certified by St. John Ambulance for Pet Therapy.

Congratulations to Cindy Harvey on the St. John Ambulance Pet Therapy Certification of her Levi daughter, Diana, Ch.Dilquin’s Unbridled Princess ,SJA Pet Therapy Dog.

Levi , himself , has made us all proud again. With Cindy, he achieved his Rally Novice title, with Multiple High in Class wins.

One of the Persi and Margaret Rose puppies; Porsche, BPIG Ch. Coronado Kandansk Presigious, achieved her Championship at 9 months of age, with Best Puppy in Group and Group 4th,. Congratulations to Porsche’s mom Kathy Albrecht and handler Natasha Taphorn. To Porsche’s dad, Mogens: We can’t wait to watch you and Porsche in Rally and Obedience.

More spectacular Puppy in Show wins for Levi’s puppies out of Kathy Albrecht’s Phoebe ,Ch. Kandansk Lucky Charmed One CDX:

On Sunday , January 25,2009, we celebrated the safe arrival of a litter of 4 black puppies, 3 girls and 1 boy.

The dad is Persi, Ch. Coronado Espree Blue Skies TCB, who would be bursting his buttons with pride, if he had buttons

Mom is Margaret Rose, Can. Am Ch. Coronado Espree With Bells On, St. John Ambulance Pet Therapy Dog and St. John Ambulance Children’s Therapy Dog.

Margaret Rose is a wonderful mother. The puppies are vigorous, plump as can be, and unbelievably active for newborns.

Margaret Rose and I are taking a bit of maternity leave from Hospital and Hospice Pet Therapy Volunteering, until the puppies are weaned.

2007 and 2008 have been a time of quiet and meaningful shifts.

Vivi came back to live with us.Having her in our arms and on our laps again,
is wonderful.
Vivi achieved her Canadian Championship in 2007 .with a few days of shows.
Vivi shares her sweet self by visiting a hospice with me , each week.

Margaret Rose became a St. John Ambulance Pet Therapy dog. We do weekly visitations with hospital patients.Watching Margaret Rose’s compassion and intuitiveness with so many people is humbling and inspiring.

In 2008, Margaret Rose passed , with flying colors, the St. John Ambulance evaluation for a dog working with children. This enables Margaret Rose to become the first, and long awaited, Pet Therapy Dog to visit the pediatrics unit of our local hospital.
We hope that you will visit the Pet Therapy page on our website.

Volunteering as Dog Show committee workers led to , as always the Poodle Club of America in Salisbury ,Maryland, where we enjoyed the ocean , the wild ponies and fresh seafood, in the company of good friends.

Family

Later in 2007, committee work took us to Long Beach, California, for a different ocean,, Catalina Island, the Queen Mary, and more good friends.

The highlight of the Long Beach trip was a lovely reunion with Bijou,a beautiful daughter of
Levi and Envy.
This is a photo of Bijou with her family, Marianne, John and Anne Offerman, Ron and I,with the great view of Long Beach Harbor, in the background.

I became a reiki master in late 2007, with the intention of offering the healing energy to
animals, as a way of saying thank you ,for their companionship and unconditional love.

Watch for a Reiki for Animals page on our website.

In early 2008, Margaret Rose’s brother Levi , with his owner Cindy, joined the St. John Ambulance Pet Therapy team. They visit a nursing home, each week.Levi and Cindy are active in Agility and Rally, as well.

Levi and Envy’s son Gable, has been doing great things in the Agility rings in Nova Scotia.

Please check out the Agility and Rally Obedience page on our website.

Persi and Sachi have joined me in Agility Classes. Sachi, Vivi and Margaret Rose are in Rally classes with me.
